Here at Uncle Tim’s Cocktails, our main priority is fostering connections. We started this journey back in 2020 with that idea in mind, crafting a framework for a business that would allow for connections to blossom in more ways than one. First, that connection was translated through bottled cocktails; bridging the gap between a lack for in-person cocktail hours and individuals looking to curate serendipitous communal experiences. We, in short, aimed to empower the hidden home bartender in lovers of craft cocktails. As pandemic restrictions loosened up, our options for fostering connection expanded.
How We Got Started: The Bottled Cocktail Business
We launched our line of bottled cocktails in 2022, and almost immediately began hosting events. Through saucy art nights, unique salon dinners, and the occasional comedy night, we were able to introduce the Denver community to new and exciting activities. Then, we built out our first horse-trailer mobile bar. We drove this bar, affectionately named Dio after the Greek god of festivities Dionysis, all over Colorado and surrounding states. And then finally last year, we opened our tasting room in the Ruby Hill neighborhood.
The Ruby Hill spot was quickly received with open arms not only by our neighbors, but also our Denver family. As quickly as it opened and served you all, we began to realize the tasting room would have to close. The space we needed, frankly, was larger and more malleable than the Ruby Hill spot could ever be. Thus began our search for the perfect second home.
We’re excited to announce that we’ve found it and signed the lease!
Our Next Big Step: We’re Opening A Bar In Wash Park
That’s right Historic Gaylord Street, we’re coming to join the amazing community you’ve built. Nestled between well-loved local businesses where the beloved Bottle Shop 33 once stood, is our new bar and event space. We anticipate being able to open for business during the holiday season, following some needed renovations, upgrades, and installations.
Our goal with this space is for it to act as a hub for all of our endeavors. Aside from our bottled cocktails, we are ecstatic to be able to host events again, are looking forward to partnering with some amazing local businesses, and are hoping to continue to innovate on our unique spirited concoctions. We’re excited to continue to partner with more and more aligned small businesses like the Boozy Botanist, who we work closely with already.
All that said, we do need your help to get the doors open once and for all.
How We Plan To Accomplish This Next Step
If you haven’t yet seen, we just recently launched a Kickstarter campaign in an effort to raise funds to aid in our endeavor to renovate this new space. Things like MEP contracting, a three-sink bar well, architectural upgrades and interior design are necessary and costly expenses. And while we have investors and business loans, we can’t expect to accomplish everything we hope for with that money. This is why we’re asking you to consider being a part of what we are building. You’ve supported us over the last two years, whether that’s through buying a bottled cocktail, attending an event, or hiring out our mobile bar.
